Mio Vicino

Mio Vicino's is a local Italian restaurant, within walking distance from campus. Its menu resembles a typical Italian menu with a bit of a twist. It has all of the usual expected pastas and pizzas but then some more unique pizzas like a goat cheese pizza with pine nuts. The combination of the expected dishes and dishes with more flare, draws in customers of all ages. Even dining late on a sunday night, the restaurant was crowded and people were waiting to be seated!
One of my favorite parts of Mio's is their bread that comes with grilled garlic cloves that were marinated in olive oil! It's insane. I would strongly recommend getting either the bruschetta, garlic bread, or fried polenta to start. Both their pizza and pasta dishes come in huge delicious servings that are perfect for sharing, and you can taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients they use in their salads.
