The next time you're in LA or NYC, be sure to stop by Babycakes. It's an amazing allergen-free bakery with everything from muffins to biscuits and cupcakes. I died when I tasted their amazing biscuit with 'cream' and jam. Their NYC store is this tiny shop near Chinatown that seems very unassuming, but as soon as you take a bite, you will be convinced that Babycakes can do no wrong.
